Museum Night Fever 2024
Incense Workshop

Luíza's journey into incense-making began with a lifelong love of making things by hand. As she grew older, her interest in the aromas of different cultures deepened. When she discovered that many commercial incenses contained harmful chemicals, she decided to make her own, focusing on natural, safe alternatives. This decision marked the beginning of her career as an artisan.

Join us at the Museum for a chance to reconnect with nature and creativity through an incense-making workshop. In just 20 minutes, you'll learn how to craft your own natural incense cones, using only the finest ingredients nature provides. Not only do you get to take home your creations, but also do you get to explore the calming and meditative process behind incense-making. It’s a perfect blend of art, tradition, and reflection, all set against the backdrop of a night dedicated to peace and inspiration!

Schedule: Continuously from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and from 10 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Participants will have the opportunity to customize their chosen design using textile markers and fabric paint.

Amel Maïza is a student at the ERG Art School in Brussels, specializing in narrative art and comics, and is currently working on a comic book project.

Schedule: every 30 minutes, 7:30 p.m. till 12:30 p.m.

And so much more...

  1. "Bending over backwards for peace": origami workshop | Inspired by the Japanese legend of 1,000 paper cranes folded and assembled as a symbol of peace, we are offering visitors an origami workshop. It's up to them to decide whether they'd rather leave their creations scattered around the museum or take them back as a souvenir of this peaceful evening.

  2. Photobooth "Messages of Peace" | Immortalise this festive evening in the heart of our rich collections, while sending out your message of peace.

  3. Button-making workshop

  4. Guided tours "War and Peace at the Military Museum" | 1815, 1918 and 1945: three key moments the world hoped to get rid of war for good. But how to rebuild lasting peace after such devastating conflicts? Is it really possible to create peace? With our guides, you'll explore the museum's collections to discover the fascinating story of the quest for peace through the centuries. An exploration rich in objects and stories that questions the challenges and hopes of a lasting, global peace.

  5. Pop-up bar
